What is a Bimaxillary operation?

A bimaxillary operation is mainly done for patients with severe problems within the upper and lower maxillary(jaw) or dental shape abnormalities. A bimaxillary operation is done for both aesthetic and medical purpose. This bimaxillary operation can give you the results that a dental correction just cannot give and can sure severe cases of facial bone displacement.

1. Protruding Chin : If the lower maxillary(jaw) experienced abnormal growth and protruding forward, third degree skeleton malocclusion.

2. Elongated Face : If the upper teeth are not able to cover the lower teeth or shows significant part of oral gum area while smiling.

3. Facial Unbalance : If a client has innate or acquired facial unbalance of left and right side of the face.

4. Bimaxillary Protrusion : If the upper and lower maxillary(jaw) is protruding forward.

5. Short Chin : Protruding upper maxillary due to limited growth of the lower maxillary, second degree skeleton malocclusion. The upper maxillary covers the lower maxillary and the lower part of the chin is short.

6. Square Jaw :  Abnormal growth of bones below the ear than normal.
